Jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce que des rapports sur la surp\u00eache et la menace qui p\u00e8se sur les populations de thon commencent \u00e0 circuler. Vous vous \u00eates alors senti.e coupable \u00e0 l&rsquo;id\u00e9e de manger du thon, la pression sociale s&rsquo;est accrue et vous avez eu honte \u00e0 table&#8230; Mais la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 est que le thon peut \u00eatre durable si le label MSC est appos\u00e9 sur l&#8217;emballage. Le label MSC est l&rsquo;assurance que votre choix contribue \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la surp\u00eache et que vous aidez \u00e0 garantir une biodiversit\u00e9 saine dans nos oc\u00e9ans. MSC ne contr\u00f4le donc pas lui-m\u00eame la certification. Des \u00e9valuateurs ind\u00e9pendants (ou auditeurs) \u00e9valuent les pratiques de p\u00eache, examinent l&rsquo;impact sur l&rsquo;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me, \u00e9tudient le lieu de capture des poissons et surveillent la sant\u00e9 des populations de thon. Seules les p\u00eacheries qui r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 des crit\u00e8res stricts et durables obtiennent l&rsquo;ic\u00f4ne tant convoit\u00e9e. Vous savez donc que le poisson qui se trouve devant vous au supermarch\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 p\u00each\u00e9 dans le respect de l&rsquo;environnement et de la biodiversit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Si vous n&rsquo;avez pas encore entendu parler de ce label sur le thon, c&rsquo;est parce qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;est pas appos\u00e9 sur tous les thons vendus sur le march\u00e9. Certains stocks de thon continuent \u00e0 faire l&rsquo;objet d&rsquo;une surp\u00eache, tandis que d&rsquo;autres sont bien g\u00e9r\u00e9s et peuvent \u00eatre p\u00each\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re durable. Chaque r\u00e9gion, m\u00e9thode de p\u00eache et population de poissons est \u00e9valu\u00e9e afin de d\u00e9terminer si le thon peut \u00eatre p\u00each\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re durable.
