Pourquoi ne pas tester cette discipline au succ\u00e8s croissant : le <strong>longe-c\u00f4te<\/strong> ? Un sport id\u00e9al pour se maintenir en forme \u00e0 la cinquantaine.<\/p>\n<h2>\nLe longe-c\u00f4te, de quoi s\u2019agit-il\u00a0?<\/h2>\n<p>Comme son nom l\u2019indique, le longe-c\u00f4te consiste \u00e0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiftyandmemagazine.be\/fr\/sante\/garder-la-forme\/les-bienfaits-de-la-marche-rapide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">marcher<\/a> en groupe le long des c\u00f4tes (d\u2019une mer, d\u2019un oc\u00e9an, voire d\u2019un lac). Avec de l\u2019eau \u00e0 hauteur de la taille ou des aisselles. Une activit\u00e9 n\u00e9e dans le nord de la France en 2005, imagin\u00e9e par Thomas Wallyn, entra\u00eeneur sportif. Une sortie, encadr\u00e9e, dure g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement entre 40 minutes et 1 heure 30 selon le niveau des \u00ab\u00a0longeurs\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<h2>\nUne pratique aux bienfaits multiples<\/h2>\n<p>Les nombreuses vertus du longe-c\u00f4te expliquent la popularit\u00e9 en hausse du sport\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilit\u00e9 d\u2019apprentissage. Nul besoin d\u2019avoir un passif sportif. Les sorties sont adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge et \u00e0 la condition physique des \u00ab\u00a0longeurs\u00a0\u00bb.<\/li>\n<li>Renforcement musculaire et cardiovasculaire<\/li>\n<li>Effet d\u00e9tente garanti<\/li>\n<li>Sport sans risque de traumatisme articulaire<\/li>\n<li>Am\u00e9lioration de l\u2019endurance et de l\u2019\u00e9quilibre<\/li>\n<li>Convivialit\u00e9<\/li>\n<li>Circulation sanguine renforc\u00e9e.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\nQuelques recommandations \u00e0 suivre<\/h2>\n<p>\u00ab Non, le longe-c\u00f4te n\u2019a rien d\u2019une baignade p\u00e9p\u00e8re. Il s\u2019agit r\u00e9ellement d\u2019un sport, qui r\u00e9clame une certaine pr\u00e9paration \u00bb, explique David Moens, coach sportif. \u00ab Des accidents peuvent survenir avec une mauvaise pr\u00e9paration physique ou une m\u00e9connaissance du littoral, des vents et des mar\u00e9es. Je d\u00e9conseille toujours aux sportifs de partir seuls sur une c\u00f4te qu\u2019ils ne connaissent pas. Des trous d\u2019eau ou des courants dangereux peuvent constituer des risques majeurs. De m\u00eame, pas question pour des (grands-)parents de partir avec des enfants trop petits, qui risquent de perdre pied et de se noyer. Mieux vaut partir sous la direction d\u2019un moniteur confirm\u00e9. \u00bb David Moens insiste aussi sur le fait de ne jamais pratiquer le longe-c\u00f4te en dehors des heures de pr\u00e9sence des ma\u00eetres-nageurs. Derni\u00e8re recommandation utile : s\u2019assurer aupr\u00e8s de son m\u00e9decin de sa bonne sant\u00e9 cardiaque, car l\u2019organe est fortement sollicit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h2>\nComment s\u2019\u00e9quiper pour le longe-c\u00f4te ?<\/h2>\n<p>Pour les sports aquatiques, un maillot et une serviette suffisent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement. Mais qu\u2019en est-il pour le longe-c\u00f4te ? David Moens r\u00e9pond : \u00ab Sans repr\u00e9senter un gros budget, l\u2019\u00e9quipement pour le longe-c\u00f4te s\u2019av\u00e8re relativement important. M\u00eame s\u2019il fait soleil avec des temp\u00e9ratures agr\u00e9ables, le fait de passer beaucoup de temps dans l\u2019eau va vous refroidir. Une combinaison de qualit\u00e9 s\u2019av\u00e8re indispensable. Elle peut se louer mais je conseille d\u2019avoir sa propre combinaison, pour des raisons d\u2019hygi\u00e8ne. Une combinaison compl\u00e9t\u00e9e par des chaussons protecteurs, en n\u00e9opr\u00e8ne id\u00e9alement. On ne pratique pas le longe-c\u00f4te pieds nus. Au risque, sinon, de blessures et d\u2019infections caus\u00e9es par ce qui se trouve sur le fond. Rochers, d\u00e9bris divers\u2026 \u00bb \u2028Outre ces indispensables, ajoutons aussi l\u2019achat de gants adapt\u00e9s, d\u2019un bonnet pour se prot\u00e9ger des effets de l\u2019eau sal\u00e9e et du soleil sur les cheveux.
