De multiples \u00e9tudes soulignent que le sport permet d\u2019apporter une solution pr\u00e9ventive (1). Quelles disciplines choisir ? Trois d\u2019entre elles sortent du lot pour leurs bienfaits.<\/p>\n<h2>Le d\u00e9clin cognitif, de quoi s\u2019agit-il\u00a0?<\/h2>\n<p>Oublier un pr\u00e9nom ou \u00e9garer ses cl\u00e9s. Ces petits signes t\u00e9moignent d\u2019un trouble cognitif l\u00e9ger mais bien pr\u00e9sent. Selon la d\u00e9finition m\u00e9dicale admise, les troubles caract\u00e9ristiques du d\u00e9clin cognitif se pr\u00e9sentent sous la forme d\u2019une alt\u00e9ration progressive des fonctions c\u00e9r\u00e9brales, comme la m\u00e9moire ou l\u2019apprentissage. Les sympt\u00f4mes pr\u00e9sents peuvent diff\u00e9rer d\u2019une personne \u00e0 l\u2019autre et \u00eatre li\u00e9s \u00e0 des origines aussi diverses que le vieillissement, la maladie, la m\u00e9nopause ou un AVC (2). Maintenir une activit\u00e9 physique facilite l\u2019irrigation du cerveau en sang pour mieux alimenter les cellules en oxyg\u00e8ne. Ce r\u00f4le protecteur permet de r\u00e9duire le d\u00e9clenchement de certaines maladies cardiovasculaires, intimement li\u00e9es aux troubles neurocognitifs (1).<\/p>\n<h2>3 sports \u00e0 privil\u00e9gier<\/h2>\n<p>Tous dehors ! Le parfait r\u00e9sum\u00e9 d\u2019une \u00e9tude canadienne dont les r\u00e9sultats publi\u00e9s en janvier 2023 ont soulign\u00e9 les bienfaits d\u2019un sport pratiqu\u00e9 en ext\u00e9rieur sur le d\u00e9clin cognitif, comme l\u2019am\u00e9lioration du sentiment de bien-\u00eatre (3). Une th\u00e9matique \u00e9tudi\u00e9e \u00e9galement par l\u2019University of Eastern Finland sur un \u00e9chantillon de personnes de plus de 65 ans (2). L\u2019\u00e9tude reposait sur trois sports conseill\u00e9s pour le maintien de la sant\u00e9 mentale :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>La marche<\/strong>. \u00ab Profiter d\u2019une heure de marche une \u00e0 deux fois par semaine permet d\u2019\u00e9vacuer le stress par la lib\u00e9ration d\u2019endorphines, ces hormones du bien-\u00eatre. Et cette pratique agit \u00e9galement en faveur d\u2019un meilleur sommeil. Facteur pr\u00e9ventif pour le d\u00e9clin cognitif \u00bb, explique David Moens, coach sportif.<\/li>\n<li><strong>La marche nordique<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.ekosport.fr\/marche-nordique-bienfaits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sport populaire au sein de la tranche des 50 \u00e0 70 ans<\/a>, la marche nordique est id\u00e9ale pour r\u00e9duire les sympt\u00f4mes de la d\u00e9pression l\u00e9g\u00e8re par l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de l\u2019humeur li\u00e9e \u00e0 la production de s\u00e9rotonine et de dopamine. La marche nordique renforce aussi la confiance en soi et la concentration. Deux \u00e9l\u00e9ments menac\u00e9s par le d\u00e9clin cognitif (3).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Le golf<\/strong>. \u00ab Mon sport coup de c\u0153ur \u00e0 conseiller aux quinquag\u00e9naires, notamment pour son r\u00f4le protecteur sur le cerveau. Pratiquer un parcours de 18 trous lui permet d\u2019\u00eatre constamment sollicit\u00e9 en fonction de la partie, avec l\u2019action port\u00e9e sur la concentration, mais aussi sur ce besoin constant de r\u00e9activit\u00e9.
