Verwacht je aan\u00a0 dansende, bewegende kleurrijke mannetjes in de typische stijl van de New Yorkse artiest. Grotendeels zie je er te<strong>keningen en muurschilderingen<\/strong> die hij maakte in het<strong> openbare leven van New York<\/strong> in de jaren 80, zoals in de metrostations. Hij schilderde vaak op openbare plaatsen omdat hij vond dat iedereen toegang moest krijgen tot kunst.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Grace House Mural<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">De tentoonstelling bestaat uit verschillende delen. Het eerste deel is gelijknamig aan de expositie zelf: \u2018<strong>Grace House Mural<\/strong>\u2019, bestaande uit 13 wandstukken die hij maakte voor een katholiek jeugdcentrum. Toen het jeugdcentrum werd afgebroken werden de wanden bewaard. Hij maakte deze tekeningen zonder schets, op een half uur en uit de losse pols. Toen Haring in de metrostations van New York ging tekenen vroeg hij Kwong Chi om foto\u2019s te maken van het gebeuren. In het derde deel van de expo zie je vijf originele werken die hij voor de dansvoorstelling \u2018Epochal Songs\u2019 maakte.
