De inname van voldoende <strong>calcium<\/strong> en<strong> vitamine D<\/strong> &#8211; die elkaar aanvullen &#8211; is daarom essentieel.<\/p>\n<h2>Osteoporose voorkomen<\/h2>\n<p>De sleutel tot sterke botten is calcium combineren met vitamine D, die de opname van calcium door het lichaam reguleert. Vitamine D speelt ook een belangrijke rol in de goede werking van het immuunsysteem.<\/p>\n<p>Vanaf de menopauze is een inname van 1200 mg calcium per dag noodzakelijk. Om die hoeveelheid te halen, raden we aan om <strong>zuivelproducten<\/strong> te eten (vooral gefermenteerde), die zeer rijk zijn aan <strong>calcium<\/strong>. Ze bevatten ook veel <strong>eiwitten<\/strong>, die belangrijk zijn voor het botweefsel.<\/p>\n<p>Het is niet gemakkelijk om die 1200 mg per dag enkel via voeding te binnen te krijgen. En voor mensen die lactose-intolerant of veganist zijn wordt het nog ingewikkelder. De oplossing? Neem <strong>voedingssupplementen<\/strong>. Een supplement van 500 mg is in de meeste gevallen voldoende.
