De groots opgezette wedstrijd S. Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 werd in Milaan georganiseerd in het kader van de Wereldtentoonstelling.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><b><i>Tekst Jo\u00eblle Rochette<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5110\" src=\"http:\/\/www.life-magazine.be\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Irlandais-1-life-magazine.jpg\" alt=\"Irlandais-1--life-magazine\" width=\"600\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5111\" src=\"http:\/\/www.life-magazine.be\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Irlandais-2-life-magazine.jpg\" alt=\"Irlandais-2--life-magazine\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hij was duidelijk de competentste in de ogen van de prestigieuze jury van 7 beroemde internationale chefs. De jonge kok van 28 jaar onderscheidde zich met een vegetarisch gerecht : <strong>knolselder gegaard in gerst en gefermenteerd stro, gerookte en gezouten knolselder, hazelnootjes en gegrilde thee van hooi.<\/strong> Het jonge talent stak zijn afkomst dus niet onder stoelen of banken, maar wilde net de<strong> Ierse keuken in de spotlights zetten<\/strong>. Hij toonde aan dat het een keuken is van talloze, op het continent vaak onbekende smaken en dat er veel meer op het menu staat dan enkel aardappels.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.joellerochette.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/S.Pellegrino-Young-Chef-2015-International-winner-Mark-Moriarty_dish_03.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5112\" src=\"http:\/\/www.life-magazine.be\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Irlandais-3-life-magazine.jpg\" alt=\"Irlandais-3--life-magazine\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mark Mortiarty<\/strong> werd op 26 juni in Milaan bijgestaand door zijn mentor <strong>Clare Smyth<\/strong>, chef van het notoire Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Londen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De Noor <strong>Christian Andr\u00e9 Pettersen<\/strong> (Spiseriet, Stavanger, Noorwegen), die de Scandinavische landen vertegenwoordigde, eindigde als tweede. De Peruaanse <strong>Maria Jos\u00e9 Jordan<\/strong> (Amaz, Lima, Peru), vertegenwoordigster van Latijns-Ameria, werd derde. Samen met de modeontwerpster <strong>Paula Cademartori<\/strong> haalde ze ook de titel van Beste duo Chef\/Designer binnen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5113\" src=\"http:\/\/www.life-magazine.be\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Irlandais-4-life-magazine.jpg\" alt=\"Irlandais-4--life-magazine\" width=\"600\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De prijs voor de beste Designer ging naar de Chinese <strong>Xiao Li<\/strong> voor haar eenvoudige creatie die ge\u00efnspireerd was op het tomatengerecht van Zhu Wenyuan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Onze kandidaat voor de Benelux, Alex Joseph, miste het podium op een haar na<\/strong> : hij eindigde als vierde. Desondanks een mooie score voor de Amerikaan die geadopteerd werd door Belgi\u00eb en die uitstekend werk levert in het Brusselse restaurant Rouge Tomate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5114\" src=\"http:\/\/www.life-magazine.be\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Irlandais5-life-magazine.jpg\" alt=\"Irlandais5--life-magazine\" width=\"600\" height=\"331\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Alles over de wedstrijd, de deelnemers en de jury<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De wedstrijd ging in alle windstreken op zoek naar jonge, veelbelovende culinaire talenten van minder dan dertig jaar oud.
